Is church peacemaking?

Christ came to the world and promised the peace, in the same way church pastors are making peace among the people. The priest gives the peace through the prayers and sacraments; Church unites people in the circle of the territory. It units them together in moments of prayer and celebration even forth common issues. In the church pastors need to serve the people in the spiritual matters. Priest and church are the part of their own so they contribute through donation or the monthly subscription. This could help the church to maintain the church activities and help the poor financially. It may be used us the personal money to meet the expense in the church and himself. The money comes through the different way to the church activities. In different way the money handled for building grotto, church hall, renew the church, rebuilding the church, institutions etc. the surplus money is misuses by priest and parish people or the council members in different way. This makes people fight among themselves and to the priest.

Church peacemaking is becoming much more common and the number of cases cited is growing at an increasing peace. The field of church peacemaking is also maturing. With more sophisticated reflections of its growing experience, a body of knowledge is developing. Leaders are particularly effective in working together for peace when they are form different churches. When the faith explore and practice common values, such a justice and compassion, in public life, church leaders can be an inspiration to other in the local church. Bringing the spiritual dimension into the peacemaking process can create access to the more deep-seated, affective base of the parties’ behavior is often based on more emotional considerations and thus may not be changed simply by rational negotiation process and subsequent agreements. Cognitive decisions and commitments, don not necessarily translate into feelings and actions.

These dimensions can be used in the service of peacemaking. Two critical elements in religious life that are centrally important for peacemaking they are empathy and compassion, and the value of tapping into these attributes is readily apparent in effective religious peacemaking. This report provides a series of case studies addressing specific religious conflict through a variety of methodologies. Some of the case describe dramatic successes, like the inter faith mediation centre for mediation peace between Christian. Leaders joining together to resolve cast conflicts that are at least partially rooted in anbiam’s or parish territories when you are ill. You are alone. If you are in pain and you feel that no one else understands the pain. You feel like you have no relatives, and you feel abandoned. We talk about the support group. This can be a family member, relatives, clergy, or someone else the person who is ill can identify with. A support group member is sympathetic, non-judgmental, knows how to listen well, and is supportive of the person who is ill.

Church is known for peacemaking instruments because Jesus promised the peace to the world. In the same peace we share in the church in the society. In a parish each and every family must be united but is it possible in a reality? There are conflicts between families and anbiams, church and parish council, caste system, rich and poor. The Christian families need to open the way to relate with all in the church for that the parish priest is the instrument to unite all as one family of Christ. The other instruments are the religious institutions and pious associations, even the parish council members and catechist.

Religious peacemaking is becoming much more common, and the number of cases cited is growing at an increasing pace. The field of religious peacemaking is also maturing. With more sophisticated reflections of its growing experience, a body of knowledge is developing. I made an earlier attempt to reflect on this experience in the book I edited titled Interfaith Dialogue and Peace building. Leaders are particularly effective in working together for peace when they are from different communities. When the faith explore and practice common values, such as justice and compassion, in public life, religious leaders can be an inspiration to others in the local church.

Bringing the spiritual dimension into the peacemaking process can create access to the more deep-seated, affective base of the parties’ behavior, enabling them to examine critically their own attitudes and actions. People’s conflict behavior is often based on more emotional considerations and thus may not be changed simply by rational negotiation processes and subsequent agreements. Cognitive decisions and commitments, he argues, do not necessarily translate into feelings and actions.

These dimensions can all be used in the service of peacemaking. Two critical elements in religious life that are centrally important to peacemaking are empathy and compassion, and the value of tapping into these attributes is readily apparent in effective religious peacemaking

There are different pious association that helping the church in peace making process. They are the intermediary between church and the people. They play vital role for dialogue with people and make the church to respond the need of the people.

The sacrament of confession makes more meaning to their life in communion with one another. This is the sacrament that unites everybody and accepts with kind heart. In this sacrament is to communicate emotions, feelings, positive attitudes, and relationships. “Confession” has the connotation of relating one’s sins to a cleric or a congregation, and that’s not quite “it.”

"Peace I leave with you, My Peace I give to you." In this live we're going to have misunderstandings and disagreements in the church. But never can we stop trying to make peace with each other.

Ever wish you could better control your anger, avoid conflict or keep your mouth shut? In this message Pastor John will be speaking about Jesus' call to be a peacemaker.

Is church profit making?

We follow Jesus teaching. This could  be used to help the poor. The roman catholic church is quite the rich little operation compare to other churches. Priests are not rich because they are service minded in their fields. People contribute to the church and for the welfare of the people. They give helping hand to run the church by way of iving subscription and donation. The church reuest people to contribute ome money for the mission work and the establishment o the church or renovate the church, building the grotto ..etc. the money is collected for the particular pupose to do the ork some time it could be surplus which could be ued for the development of the church. The fund raising work I done by the people in particular parish council or the anbiam leder. The money is handled by the people some parishes the parish priest. It depends upon the parish and places.

My church is non-profit, they give to the homeless to the home as to help them to get food at the locker, clothers, and to make sure their kids get medical attention. There is no enough money to get it all to be done. Our pastors can help the people whatever the way they can. Priest spends money on people.

Individuals and groups were fired with the zeal of Jesus, who took the side of the poor and the outcast.

Now churches own many institutions and, regrettably, some are mere money-making institutions it seems to be but practical way it’s for the needy that church renders help.

The primary reason for this incorporation, is so that a 501(c)(3) tax exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service can be secured that will exempt the church from paying taxes on its offerings and property, and will provide a tax exemption to the organization's donors. The incorporation also serves to protect private individuals in the church from incurring personal liability in the organization's behalf. Whenever a church becomes such a corporation, it is required by law to keep detailed records of donations and financial records so to prove the non-profit intent of the organization and to protect the intended purpose of the donor's offerings. Violations of related laws can result in revocation of a church's non profit status.

Section 501 (c) (3) of the IRS code describes what the government considers to be an eligible nonprofit, religious group. "A tax-exempt religious organization is a legal entity or vehicle created and operated exclusively for religious purposes, no part of the net earnings of which insures to the benefit of any private individual, no substantial part of the activities of which is carrying on propaganda, or otherwise attempting to influence legislation, and which does not participate in or interfere in any political campaign on behalf of any candidate for public office." churches fall into the category of ‘charitable’ entities. This is often a stretch.

Most churches are incorporated as nonprofit organizations, but there is no scriptural edict that requires any such status or any recognition from secular government. Some have contended that if persons regain their donation in the form of deducted taxes, it diminishes the sacrificial value of the original offering (2 Sam. 24:24). However, the tax exemption status has generally been viewed as one of God's great blessings to the American church, enabling it to direct greater sums to evangelism, benevolence, and foreign mission fields.

The promotion activities of the church spends money for the welfare of the faithful. The parish priests ask the help of the parish council members to some work to the church. Sometimes it happens that they miss handle the money in the name of the church. It is not in all cases of the church. There are good people to spend money unnecessary.

The money enters into the church by subscription and donation and these are entered on the accounts. Through the contribution of the people the church able to carry out the mission and maintain the church going.

There’s an Internet meme of a pair of white adults handing bibles to Indian children, while the children ask how they can eat them. Prayers may make those praying feel good about them, but do nothing to eradicate poverty or feed the meek. I’m not sure what glitch in human psychology allows us to confuse the two, but the longer we do, the less actual assistance we can offer

Sometimes the church leaders preach very well on the charity and but they close the door when they people approach for help. Posters are cheated by the people and for that reason when needy extents the hands for help from the priest   he thinks twice before helping the person.

Some people say that church force the people to offer money because church needs money for the expenses. Church renders service to the needy in all the places possible but the flow of money in the church depends upon the area rural or urban parishes. The rural place peoples standard of living is very low when compare to the urban area parishes. The rural parish managed by the priest and he gets the minimum subscription according the families economic situation in the particular area. In the urban they fix it common because the standard of living is very high and they can contribute more money to the church for financial support. For an example the apostle of Paul did not have money to travel or maintain the church and even helping the people but the money is given by the individuals to support the church in their own way.

Church helps the people in many ways like school, scholarships, building houses, educational help, financial support for the poor families, providing rice and food material to the poor families, employment opportunities to the jobless.,,, etc. we organize VBS camp in our campus and provide everything free of casts in that case need financial support from the people or even any meeting is passable to spend some amount of money on that occasions.

Churches need money for different programme and groups, youth, children, outreach, worship, preaching, teaching, fellowship, adults, parents, service etc.  Church needs budget to run the year and includes money to spend for the whole year. Sometimes the church renovation works and maintenance of every year is very costly in that case church has to spend lot of money.

The faithful criticize the pastor is that they receive money for all the services possible but Jesus says that do not make my father’s house as the business place. But in reality there are some business  going on each and every churches for the financial stability of the church. The congregation must help the church for the maintenance and other related works otherwise the church dies automatically.

Charity and donation that which helps the church run in long run as pastor cannot do anything by him for finance part because the individual stabilize the income means it is not possible at all. The pastor cannot do all the work possible in the church sweeping cleaning watchman different bills at end of the month like electric and taxes from the government.

Many catholic are volunteer the works as musicians, choir, other part of church activities they do as gods work. Few people they offer service to the church by doing any one of the works in the church in that way church can reduce the expenses and do more charity to the needy people by way of money and materials.
